Dental Nurses play a vital part in ensuring the smooth, safe, and efficient running of a dental practice. Their work supports both the clinical team and patients, helping to create a calm, professional environment before, during, and after every procedure.
Responsibilities
A Dental Nurse’s duties cover a wide range of clinical and administrative tasks.
Clinical Support
- Carrying out thorough decontamination, disinfection, sterilisation, and maintenance of dental instruments, including handpieces.
- Maintaining clean, hygienic work surfaces and ensuring the surgery is prepared and organised for each patient.
- Providing chairside assistance during procedures — passing instruments, managing suction, and keeping the clinical field clear.
- Mixing and preparing dental materials such as impression compounds and restorative materials.
- Supporting the dentist in recording accurate patient information and treatment notes.
Patient Care
- Welcoming patients and helping them feel comfortable, calm, and reassured throughout their visit.
- Assisting with the collection of medical histories, dental records, X‑rays, and other relevant information.
- Offering compassionate support to patients of all ages, including children and individuals with additional needs.
Practice Support
- Assisting with reception duties when required, including answering calls, booking appointments, and processing payments.
- Helping maintain smooth patient flow throughout the practice.

We offer a generous hourly rate. Travel expenses are at the discretion of the agency.
